Club members only: Aaron Scythe 2 day workshop - May 16 & 17 2026

Club members join us for an intensive hands-on weekend workshop with Aaron Scythe, May 16th & 17th. The 2 days cover stage building and construction of medium/large, coil-built vessels and exploring surface decoration using oxides, masking, glazing and expressive slip decoration.

What will you learn?

• Hand building techniques
• Wheel methods
• Using latex for masking
• Slip & oxide decoration

This requires an Intermediate level of skill.

You will need:

• 3 bags of red clay (club will do a bulk order.  Please pay club directly through online banking prior to workshop ($132)
• 4-8 pieces in white clay (already bisqued)
• 2-3 wide brushes
• Wheel throwing tools & batts
• Old towel & sponges to help with clean up - apron
• Shared lunch contribution
